  • How do I prepare for Cockroach Service?
When we are going to come and service for a cockroach job, you are going to want to have your place as clean as possible. That means that you'll want to put away all food, cover uncovered food, and put away kids & pet toys. This is because we need to spray our treatment where cockroaches crawl and that normally means cracks behind the stove and fridge but we always like to go above and beyond and treat your whole home to make sure the infestation is stopped in its tracks.
  • What does a pest control service do?
It all depends on the pest or pests you are battling. But in general, we will treat your home for the current pest infestation, and then we will set up measures to make sure that a future infestation never happens.
  • How do I get rid of clover mites?
The fastest way to get rid of clover mites is to call Pestcom Pest Management — our treatments will protect your home all year long. However, if you are looking for a DIY option, then here are a couple of tips. 1) properly fertilize your yard. 2) plant your plants a safe distance from your home. 3) replace all of your screens. 4) Seal the cracks and gaps that lead into your home. 5) Create a physical barrier from plants and trees around your home. This could be a path way or woodchips that cover the ground.
  • Is pest control safe for my kids?
Absolutely. We only use treatments that are family-safe, which includes the furry little guys that run around in the backyard as well. On the rare occasion that we do a treatment that is extremely intense we will talk to you, in detail, about the steps required to keep your family safe while we remove the nasty problem that would be currently putting your family in danger.
  • How do I prepare for a bed bug service?
A bed bug service is one of our more intense treatments. We want to make sure that we stop the bed bugs from coming back so you'll want to clean your home thoroughly so that our technicians can access the entire infected area. Then, you'll want to move all furniture at least 2' away from your walls. You'll also want to make sure that you don't put anything on top of furniture or beds. Lastly, you are going to want to remove all of your sheets from your beds and keep them in a black trashbag.
  • How do I know if I have bed bugs?
The easiest way to determine if you have bed bugs or not is to give us a call and request an inspection. But, if you are looking to check on your own, then you are going to want to remove all of the sheets from your beds. Once this is done, you can take a look at the seams in your mattress. Bed bugs often leave droppings behind and they'll get caught in the seams.
  • Why do I need a pest service in the winter?
A lot of people think that bugs and other pests die during the winter but this isn't true. Pests act like snowbirds that drive down to St. George, Utah, or Pheonix, Arizona in the winter — they hate the cold. But instead of traveling thousands of miles, they travel into your walls. If an infestation is left all winter, it can create a huge problem in spring once the weather starts to warm up.
  • How do I get rid of Boxelder Bugs?
Boxelder bugs seem to invade every home in the fall. This is because they are trying to escape the cold and cling to the last couple of months they have left. So, to keep them out of your home you are going to need to block entraces. That means repairing screen doors and sealing up cracks in your foundation.
  • How small a gap can mice enter?
About ¼ inch - think the width of a pencil. We focus on garage door seals, utility penetrations, crawl-space vents, and pipe chases where we see most entry in Boise-area construction.
  • How fast will rodent activity drop once you start?
Most homes see a noticeable reduction within 3-7 days after we seal key gaps and deploy targeted trapping/baiting. We follow up until signs stop.
  • Do you offer exclusion (sealing) in Nampa, Meridian, Boise, Eagle, Star, and Caldwell?
Yes. We perform minor sealing during service and can schedule larger exclusion repairs. We’ll document every gap and proposed fix.
  • Is this safe for kids and pets?
We use secure placements and professional protocols designed for homes with children and pets. Your technician explains what’s used and where.
  • What if I still notice signs after the first visit?
Follow-ups are part of the plan. We adjust placements, add sealing, and keep working the plan until your home is rodent-free.
  • When should I book holiday lighting in the Treasure Valley?
Most homeowners book in September-November for guaranteed install windows. Late bookings are fine, but prime dates go first - especially for Boise, Meridian, and Nampa.
  • What’s included in your Holiday Lighting service?
Design, pro-grade lights, clips and timers, installation, in-season maintenance, takedown, and off-season storage so you don’t have to handle any of it.
  • Do you use my lights or provide yours?
We provide commercial-grade, cut-to-fit strands for clean lines, reliable color, and quick maintenance if a bulb fails.
  • Can you match colors or do custom patterns?
Yes - classics (warm white) to custom color maps and programmed patterns on request and encouraged.
  • Do you maintain the lights if something goes out?
Yes - in-season maintenance is included. If a section fails, we come out and fix it.
  • When do you remove and store the lights?

Takedown typically right after the season, then we label and store your set for next year.

  • What pests do you cover in Boise, Meridian, Nampa, and the surrounding area?
Ants, spiders, wasps, beetles, earwigs, rodents, and seasonal invaders like elm seed bugs—plus exterior prevention around the foundation, eaves, and entry points.
Specialty services (scheduled/priced separately): bed bugs, cockroaches, hornets, and yellow jackets (nest treatment/removal).
  • How often is service?
We recommend quarterly for year-round protection across the Treasure Valley. That said, we also offer custom plans (monthly, bi-monthly, one-time, or seasonal) based on your location, pest pressure, and preference.
  • Will I see bugs after the first treatment?
You may see a slight uptick for 24-48 hours as pests are flushed out. Activity then drops as the protective barrier takes hold.
  • Do you treat inside every time?
Interior service is as-needed. Many homes stay pest-free with exterior treatments alone; we’ll treat inside if you’re seeing activity or if conditions call for it.
  • Do you service HOAs and businesses?
Yes. We handle multi-unit properties, HOA common areas, restaurants, offices, warehouses, and more - with custom schedules, site maps, and reporting for managers and owners.
  • Do you handle bed bugs & cockroaches?
Yes - those are specialty services with dedicated inspection, prep instructions, and pricing. We’ll outline the treatment plan and scheduling specifics for your property.
